Can You Optimise My Existing Website?

All websites can be optimised for success on the web - depending on how the site was constructed in the first place. If the site is mainly just words and pictures, what we call a "brochure site" then search engine optimisation is generally quite easy to implement.

contact us buttonWhatever the site, we always perform research into all the aspects that govern its performance at Google and the major search engines, this includes:

Checking which keywords or phrases drive the most online traffic in your marketplace

Examining the way the site is structured and how its internal linking works

Searching the web to see if any other sites are linking to you (very important with Google)

Analysing competitors that are already successful in the search engine results pages

From this information we can calculate how much time is required to get your site onto the first page of Google's results. This can be as little as a few hundred pounds to tidy up an already well designed site that just need an optimiser's touch to propel it to the top.

Certain sites however may need a lot of work - sites built in Flash™ for example are notoriously hard to promote - or sites built using a lot of javascript. This situation can also be remedied by gaining more inbound links to the website and can be acgieved by adding unique content that will be valued by other websites that may then link to the new content.

Also, adding a blog to a site is a way to encourage other sites to link in. If your site attracts enough attention it will also attract more links, for example, if you were to blog about the antics of the top players in your niche - and were, perhaps, a little controversial, again more people will spread the word through their blogs resulting in lots of new inbound links.

In the end though, it is high-quality, unique, informative content, that will drive up the number of visitors and gain those new inbound links.

Optimising an existing site, although hard work in some circumstances, is possible if you are serious about search engine optimisation, but cannot afford a new site to acheive this. Just give us a call or email us for more information.
